BARNESTORMING
LEONARDO'S LAST SUPPER
Barnes directed the feature film version of his
award-winning play with the original London cast, with Ingmar
Bergman 's cameraman.
We will be bringing you the entire film, not
seen for twenty years but strikingly relevant.
...In Leonardo' Last Supper, the great artist
regains consciousness in a filthy charnel-house where he has been
carried having been prematurely declared dead. His joy at his
resurection, and at the further works of genius he will now be
able to leave the world, is not shared by the wretched family.
They have seen their contract for the burial of the famous man as
a way to worldly fame and success....(John Bull-Contemporary
Dramatists)
Will they ignore the great contribution da Vinci
can continue making to society or will they kill him to ensure
their personal advancement?
Will the wonders of the Renaissance mean nothing
to this self-dependent family?
